play

play is powerful for the sake of itself. it's a naturally joyful and curious, exploratory state. it's how we learn most effectively, and a way that we can feel that we belong, we matter, we are valued, we are supported and we can support others. we can, in practice, play our part in a larger whole.

but even beyond that, i'm very interested in play as a mechanism to coordinate action (collaboration) across different levels of development.

and metagames as a play-directing/supporting endeavor.
